Bayou Angel Disaster Relief
Rescue & Rebuild
About Us
Natural disasters are imminent; this will never change.
Mother Nature it seems, is always on the warpath; no one is safe.
We are a 501(C)3 approved non-profit, dedicated to providing aid to rescue operations, relief to displaced civilians affected by natural disasters, and providing resources to the first responders that help them.

Phase one of Bayou Angels, will help with search and rescue operations. We are in the process of building trailers to house first respondents, medical units, and living quarters for the displaced. Phase two will involve the rebuilding of the worse hit disaster areas that need the help the most.
Founder & Executive Director
Phil Sonnier

Growing up in Southern Louisiana, Phil Sonnier was drawn to a life of service. As a youth, he often volunteered at local charitable events. However, his real service began in his college years, where he trained to be a medical first responder/paramedic. His first vocation began with Acadian Ambulance in Lafayette, Louisiana. It was there his passion to be of service to others was cultivated. Over the years, his career expanded to first respondent emergency fuel management.
The last 15 years have seen him service approximately 20 storms on the front lines. The most severe storm being Hurricane Maria which devastated the island of Puerto Rico in 2017. It was this tragedy that propelled him to start Bayou Angel Disaster Relief. In that time, he dealt with logistics, provision management bureaucracy, and every other issue that comes with organizing and executing responses to natural disasters. Through the hardships related to being on the front lines, he decided to bring his experience and goodwill to help the future needs of disaster relief.
